JavaScript Unit Test Frameworks

==> Buster.JS

A browser JavaScript testing toolkit. It does browser testing with browser automation (think JsTestDriver), qunit style static html page testing, testing in headless browsers (phantomjs, jsdom, ...), and more. Take a look at the overview!

A Node.js testing toolkit. You get the same test case library, assertion library, etc. This is also great for hybrid browser and Node.js code. Write your test case with Buster.JS and run it both in Node.js and in a real browser.

(interesting approach - still in beta but was used by PocketIsland/Wooga)

JsUnit

JsUnit is a Unit Testing framework for client-side (in-browser) JavaScript. It is essentially a port of JUnit to JavaScript. Also included is a platform for automating the execution of tests on multiple browsers and mutiple machines running different OSs.

JsUnit's development began in January 2001; JsUnit was the first testing framework for JavaScript. Over the years, it became a project maintained by Pivotal Labs. These days, at Pivotal Labs we use Jasmine. JsUnit is no longer actively maintained.

JsUnit is hosted on GitHub.  If you would like to contribute to JsUnit, please do so by forking the repository and issuing a pull request. There is a public Pivotal Tracker project for JsUnit.

(not maintained any more?)

Jasmine

Jasmine is a behavior-driven development framework for testing JavaScript code. It does not depend on any other JavaScript frameworks. It does not require a DOM. And it has a clean, obvious syntax so that you can easily write tests.

(follow-up of JsUnit)

QUnit

QUnit is a powerful, easy-to-use, JavaScript test suite. It's used by the jQuery project to test its code and plugins but is capable of testing any generic JavaScript code (and even capable of testing JavaScript code on the server-side).

iOS Data Storage Guidelines

Only documents and other data that is user-generated , or that cannot otherwise be recreated by your application, should be stored in the < Application_Home >/Documents directory and will be automatically backed up by iCloud. Data that can be downloaded again or regenerated should be stored in the < Application_Home >/Library/Caches directory. Examples of files you should put in the Caches directory include database cache files and downloadable content, such as that used by magazine, newspaper, and map applications. Data that is used only temporarily should be stored in the < Application_Home >/tmp directory. Although these files are not backed up to iCloud, remember to delete those files when you are done with them so that they do not continue to consume space on the user’s device. Use the "do not back up" attribute for specifying files that should remain on device, even in low storage situations . Use this attribute with data that can be recr...
